Gusto is seeking a Staff Design Recruiter to advance recruitment across Product Design, Design Systems, Content Design, UX Research, and related areas. You’ll work with senior design leaders, shape search strategy with AI, and build scalable pipelines that align with business needs.

This role blends craft expertise with data-driven decisions in a hybrid SF office setting. You’ll collaborate across compensation, people partners, and operations to ensure a fair, high-quality candidate experience

Qualifications

• 8+ years in full-cycle recruiting, with design tech focus
• Experience recruiting designers and partnering with design leaders
• Proficient in using AI for sourcing, market mapping, and interview prep
• Ability to influence across compensation and hiring partners
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruiting for Design, PM, Data, and related roles across the org
• Build AI-enabled talent strategies and pipelines, including new tools and processes
• Partner with compensation, people partners, and operations to move hires
• Develop an in-market design community in San Francisco to strengthen pipelines
