Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the architecture of our data ingestion and integration platform, shaping how we onboard data sources across ad platforms, ERP systems, and real-time events.

You will lead across product, engineering, and business stakeholders, mentor engineers, and raise discipline across the team while delivering reliable, scalable data solutions that power the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience with architecture ownership.
• Deep proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery).
• Experience designing API-based ETL systems at scale (REST, GraphQL).
• Production depth with orchestration (Airflow) and containerized infra (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Own architecture of ingestion and integration platform and onboarding new data sources.
• Define technical direction for event-driven and batch processing across the company.
• Establish observability, data freshness, and failure handling standards.
• Lead cross-team design with data engineering, infra, and product to maintain coherence.
• Mentor engineers and elevate engineering practice across the team.
• Drive platform durability improvements and timely shipping of features.
