Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a Staff-level Software Engineer who leans backend to help scale a data-driven marketing intelligence platform. You’ll spend ~70% on backend and distributed systems and 20–30% on frontend, owning architecture across the stack from problem to production.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers to architect new incrementality features, near real-time data infra, and AI-enabled workflows for marketers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building distributed backend systems.
• Experience in Python and microservices architectures.
• Proven ability to partner with product managers and data scientists.
• Experience in startup or fast-growth environments.
• Ability to turn ambiguous needs into production-ready architecture.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect incrementality into a scalable, repeatable experimentation platform.
• Define near-real-time ingestion and processing strategies.
• Define AI-powered workflows for marketers to evaluate performance.
• Lead connection-state systems and partner ecosystem across ingestion and exports.
• Shape technical approaches in adjacent areas (RBAC).
• Mentor engineers and elevate shipping standards.
