Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a Staff-level Software Engineer (backend-focused) to own architecture for our incrementality platform and real-time data infrastructure. You’ll spend most of your time on backend and distributed systems, with some frontend work in React/TypeScript, enabling you to influence the stack end-to-end.

You will partner with data scientists, product managers, and designers to transform ambiguous product needs into scalable, production-ready solutions while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems in Python.
• Deep experience owning system architecture and scale considerations.
• Track record partnering with product managers, designers, and data scientists.
• Startup or breadth-rich environments with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Architect the incrementality product into a scalable experimentation platform.
• Define near-real-time ingestion and processing patterns beyond batch workflows.
• Shape AI-powered workflows for marketers to evaluate performance and act on insights.
• Lead connection-state systems and partner ecosystem across data ingestion and exports.
• Guide RBAC and security considerations within the product.
• Mentor engineers and raise the standard for what ships.
