Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to build the scoring and optimization engine behind Lead Intelligence and Revenue Optimization. You will determine lead value, allocate inventory across geographies and clients, and solve allocation as an optimization problem with real constraints.

You will work at the intersection of lead quality and revenue outcomes, partnering with Product, Marketing, Pricing, Finance, Tech, and Client Engineering to turn models into automated decisions across

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science or ML experience and a quantitative degree.
• Experience formulating constrained optimization problems with revenue impact.
• 2+ years in inventory optimization, allocation, or pricing.
• Experience moving models to production and monitoring impact.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with analytical rigor.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality & Scoring models for lead-to-transact pipeline.
• Value lead inventory by geography, product, and intent.
• Formulate lead distribution as constrained optimization across clients.
• Model price-inventory interactions with pricing teams.
• Align demand forecasts with supply and perform scenario analyses.
• Design experiments and validate scoring and allocation logic.
• Move models from development into production decisioning.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Translate results into clear narratives for executives.
• Document methodologies with reproducible code.
