Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to build the scoring and optimization engine behind Lead Intelligence and Revenue Optimization. You will determine lead worth, ownership, and allocation across clients, products, and geographies at a national scale.

The role focuses on predictive modeling, inventory valuation, and constrained optimization to maximize revenue while preserving consumer and client experience. You’ll collaborate across Product, Pricing, Marketing, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science, applied statistics, or machine learning.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Ph.D. in OR/IE is a plus and often preferred for senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the predictive close models that score likelihood to transact.
• Value lead inventory by geography, product, and intent signal.
• Formulate lead distribution as a constrained optimization problem across clients, products, geographies.
• Model price and inventory interactions with pricing to optimize revenue.
• Perform demand-supply alignment and scenario analysis to maximize outcomes.
• Design experiments to validate scoring models and allocation logic.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Pricing, Finance, Tech, and Client Engineering.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards for leadership to monitor impact.
