Job summary

Baton Corporation is seeking a Staff Data Scientist in Marketing Science in New York to own the mathematics behind paid growth. You’ll design causal models, run experiments, and optimize budget allocation across multiple channels, collaborating with the paid acquisition team.

You will write models and production-ready code, justify methods with decision memos, and work closely with data engineers on inputs and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced quantitative training in mathematics or statistics.
• Hands-on causal inference with incrementality experiments.

Responsibilities

• Build marketing measurement model with Bayesian methods and uncertainty.
• Design geo-experiments and A/B-style tests to calibrate models.
• Translate models into budget recommendations with risk-aware allocations.
• Model customer value with LTV, retention and payback linked to activation.
• Tackle newer channels with defensible measurement approaches.
• Collaborate with Head of Paid Acquisition to set test roadmaps.
