Job summary

Muttdata seeks a Senior Data Scientist to own experiments and causal impact analyses for growth and marketing. You will design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests, estimate lift from campaigns, and translate findings into actionable business decisions.

Work with stakeholders across growth and marketing, plus data engineers, to build scalable analyses on Databricks. Strong economics/quantitative background valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Econometrics, or similar analytical roles.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (notebooks, Spark, Delta Lake).
• Proven ability to design and analyze A/B tests and online/offline experiments.
• Strong knowledge of causal inference methods and their applications (DiD, Matching, IV, uplift).
• Foundations in statistics and econometrics (hypothesis testing, regression, time series).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, run, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments (sample size, power, randomization, guardrails).
• Apply causal inference techniques to estimate marketing campaign impacts when randomization isn’t possible.
• Measure and optimize marketing performance: incrementality, attribution, ROI/ROAS, LTV, MMM.
• Translate growth/marketing questions into analytical problems and experimental designs.
• Develop analyses, features, and models on Databricks and Spark, collaborating with data engineers.
• Build predictive and segmentation models to support targeting and personalization strategies.
