Job summary

Launch Potato is seeking a senior data scientist to own the end-to-end data science engine for a priority vertical, from business problem to deployed model and live ROAS performance.

You will be deeply involved with data and modeling, collaborating with ML engineers, and ensuring deployment, monitoring, and performance analysis are aligned with business goals. Initial focus on Insurance and Advertiser Quality with ROAS as the main metric.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or leadgen.
• Building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling (highly desired).
• Strong modeling fundamentals: build models that drive business impact.
• Multi-year hands-on experience building and deploying ML solutions in AWS.
• Core techniques: multi-armed bandit, reinforcement learning, recommenders, funnel/monetization optimization, LTV modeling.
• Expert Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data science engine for a priority vertical from problem to deployed model and live ROAS performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders; frame business problems and validate models.
• Hand ML-engineering handoff to engineering partner and oversee deployment and monitoring.
• Focus initially on Insurance and Advertiser Quality with ROAS as primary metric.
• Deliver models that maintain positive ROAS and optimize lead quality across brands.
• Establish direct partnerships with vertical business stakeholders and produce validated, low-correction outputs.
