Launch Potato, a profitable digital media company, is hiring a senior data scientist to own the full data science engine for a priority vertical, from problem framing to deployed models and live ROAS performance.

You will work hands-on in modeling, collaborate with ML engineers, and drive revenue growth across Insurance and related verticals while building scalable ML solutions in AWS and Python/SQL. Remote-first team, competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or the leadgen industry.
• Building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling.
• Strong modeling fundamentals driving business impact.
• Multi-year experience building ML solutions in AWS.
• Experience with multi-armed bandit, reinforcement learning, recommender and ranking systems.
• Expert Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data science engine for a priority vertical from problem framing to deployed model and live ROAS performance.
• Work hands-on in modeling, framing business problems with stakeholders and handing the ML-engineering last mile to an engineering partner.
• Focus initially on Insurance and Advertiser Quality with scope to broaden over time.
• Deliver modeling work that improves ROAS and lead quality across brands.
• Establish trusted partnerships with vertical stakeholders and produce validated, low-correction output.
• Identify and leverage new modeling opportunities for the business.
