Headway is building a data platform to support a scalable mental healthcare system. The Staff Data Infrastructure Engineer will architect and lead foundational systems powering data across analytics, product, and ML teams.

You will drive architectural direction, enforce standards, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. The role emphasizes ownership, cross-team collaboration, and delivering robust data infrastructure at scale, with a strong bias for impact and measurable

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a Data Platform/Infrastructure Engineer in high-scale environments.
• Defined roadmaps for data platforms and alignment across teams.
• Built full-stack data platforms including warehousing, ingestion, orchestration and CI/CD.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud data architectures.
• Led cross-team technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Experienced with AWS and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Python and SQL foundations; distributed systems.
• Maintain and scale Airflow/Astronomer workloads.
• Mentored junior and mid-level engineers.
• Strong emphasis on security, data governance, and cost management.
