Job summary

SentiLink is a US-based company delivering real-time identity and risk solutions. The Staff Software Engineer on the Data Platform team will define the technical direction for data infrastructure powering fraud detection, collaborating with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to build reliable, scalable systems.

The role emphasizes leadership in architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and establishing standards to improve how data systems are built and operated.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/data engineering leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Experience with large-scale ETL/ELT and streaming data platforms (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop).
• Strong design of scalable distributed systems on cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep knowledge of data stores (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch) and data lake architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical vision and architecture for Data Platform.
• Design large-scale data infrastructure powering identity and fraud systems.
• Lead secure, scalable batch and streaming pipelines processing billions of records.
• Improve scalability, reliability, observability, and operational excellence of the data platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams to align platform investments with goals.
• Establish engineering standards and patterns across teams.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Drive production reliability and incident response improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and reduce operational burden over time.
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in identity, fraud detection, and large-scale data processing.
