Job summary

SentiLink is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own the data infrastructure powering our fraud-detection products. You will work with product, engineering, and data science teams to build, enhance, and modify the data platform while advancing performance and reliability.

You will leverage Python/Golang skills, ETL/ELT expertise, and cloud infrastructure to scale data services, with opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to innovative solutions across the US-based remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Python or Golang and related technologies and frameworks.
• Expertise in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale using distributed data processing technologies like Spark or Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Deep understanding of databases including PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and NoSQL options, plus query optimization.
• Experience building enterprise-grade, scalable containerized data services on Kubernetes or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure to create accurate identity datasets and their relationships.
• Develop and operate secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines meeting product requirements.
• Design and maintain a data observability framework for data quality and freshness.
• Collaborate with product teams to support data platform needs for current and new products.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production issues and incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Drive innovation through hackathons and proof-of-concepts.
• Develop domain expertise in identity fraud across various areas.
