Job summary

SentiLink, a leading provider of identity and risk solutions, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform. You will define the technical direction, own critical data infrastructure, and enable engineering, product, and data science teams to build reliable, scalable systems.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture across teams, and establish standards that improve how we build and operate data systems in a remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience owning large-scale distributed systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale ETL/ELT and streaming data platforms (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop).
• Strong experience in designing scalable distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL), OpenSearch, data lakes, and object stores.
• Experience building containerized services on Kubernetes and IaC/CI/CD/dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical vision and architecture for SentiLink's Data Platform.
• Design and evolve large-scale data infrastructure powering identity and fraud detection systems.
• Lead architecture of secure, scalable batch and streaming data pipelines processing billions of records.
• Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product/Engineering/Data Science/Infra to align platform investments with priorities.
• Establish engineering standards and patterns for data infrastructure across teams.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and evaluate new technologies to enhance capabilities.
• Improve production reliability, incident response, and system observability; participate in on-call rotation.
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in identity, fraud, and large-scale data processing.
