Job summary

SentiLink is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform team to shape the technical direction of our data infrastructure that powers fraud detection products. You will own the design and evolution of critical data systems, enabling engineering, product, and data science teams to build reliable, scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and drive platform investments across multiple teams while balancing speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale ETL/ELT and streaming data platforms (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop).
• Strong experience designing scalable distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep expertise across multiple data storage technologies (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, data lakes).
• Experience designing containerized services on Kubernetes or similar orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical vision and architecture for SentiLink's Data Platform.
• Design and evolve large-scale data infrastructure powering identity and fraud detection systems.
• Lead architecture for secure, scalable data pipelines processing billions of records.
• Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Infra teams to align platform investments with company priorities.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices for data infrastructure across teams.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and evaluate emerging technologies.
