Job summary

Pantheon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Data Platform to extend and scale data infrastructure. You will drive data surface insights into the Product experience and empower ML/LLM-driven analytics, collaborating with software and data teams.

As the lead technical member, you’ll architect services and promote best practices in security, trust, and dependability while mentoring engineers and owning end-to-end delivery in a DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of processing large-scale datasets across distributed systems.
• Able to design scalable data models (OLAP/OLTP) with strong data integrity.
• Experience with data governance, catalogs, and observability tooling.
• Previous technical leadership, translating requirements into architecture.

Responsibilities

• Take the platform to the next level with data insights for product experiences.
• Enhance core services: Ingest as a Service, Curation as a Service, Retention as a Service.
• Build with modern data infra: Snowflake, GCP, Airflow, Docker, Terraform.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical bar across the team.
• Own full lifecycle in a DevOps model: development, testing, operations, support.
• Drive engineering standards for coding, testing, deployment and comms.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Ops and Finance to deliver data solutions.
• Support reliability through on-call contributions.
