Job summary

Pantheon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform to advance our data infrastructure and surface insights within the Product experience. You will power ML/LLM driven insights and help define the next generation of services used across Pantheon.

You will mentor engineers, own full lifecycle operations in a DevOps model, and partner with Product, Sales, Ops, and Finance to deliver trusted, scalable data solutions for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale distributed data systems.
• Ability to design scalable data models for OLAP/OLTP.
• Experience with data governance, catalogs, and observability.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural decision-making.
• Customer-focused data solutions aligned with business goals.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Champion automated testing, data validation, and idempotent design.
• Appreciation for security, trust, and dependable design.

Responsibilities

• Extend data platform to surface insights within the product experience.
• Lead architecture of core services: Ingest, Curation, Retention as a Service.
• Work with Snowflake, GCP, Airflow, Docker, Terraform.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards.
• Operate in full DevOps lifecycle: development, testing, operations, support.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Ops, Finance for self-service data culture.
• Support reliability through on-call contributions.
