Job summary

Intuit seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help build fault-tolerant, scalable big-data platforms that power high-velocity analytics. You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Central Data Lake to ensure extensibility and alignment with current needs.

You will design data normalization, lineage, governance, and discovery architectures while enabling AI/GenAI datasets for advanced analytics. Strong SQL, big data tech, and programming skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product analytics, web analytics or similar data analytics domains.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, big data technologies (Redshift, Spark, Hive, BigQuery) and BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Dash).
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java/Scala.
• Experience building data pipelines and orchestrating workflows; architecting end-to-end big data platforms.
• Knowledge of AI-native architectures and GenAI platforms; assess data/testing implications.
• Strong business acumen; translate strategy into testable hypotheses.
• Data storytelling to build impactful reports and influence leadership.
• Excellent communication; collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build fault-tolerant, scalable big-data platforms for high-velocity data use cases.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Central Data Lake teams.
• Develop scalable architectures for data normalization, lineage, governance, ontology, and discoverability.
• Collaborate on datasets for analytics, GenAI and ML, deriving actionable customer intelligence.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices; establish CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor junior team members and foster ongoing education in technical skills.
