United States Digital Space LLC is building a modern data platform to empower product teams with reliable, scalable data infrastructure, governance, and security.

As a senior data platform engineer, you will own the architecture, set technical direction, oversee ingestion into Snowflake and real‑time pipelines, and build self‑serve tooling for analysts and engineers; you will mentor the growing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production data infrastructure
• Deep experience with cloud data warehouses — Snowflake strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience building CDC and streaming pipelines
• Experience with managed ingestion tooling and buy-vs-build judgment
• Strong fluency with workflow orchestration
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience building internal data tooling
• Knowledge of data quality, observability, and lineage tooling
• Data governance in regulated environments
• Familiarity with cloud data services and IaC

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform's architecture and technical direction.
• Build and operate the ingestion layer across streaming, batch, CDC, and connectors.
• Land data into Snowflake with freshness and cost characteristics.
• Own the orchestration platform—scheduling, retries, backfills, dependencies.
• Build transformation and compute frameworks and self-serve tooling for teams.
• Design and operate real-time streaming infrastructure for near-live use cases.
• Build the trust layer with quality, observability, lineage, and discovery.
• Implement patterns for PII and multi-region residency constraints.
• Set the technical bar through reviews, standards, and mentorship.
