Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Staff Data Engineer and Scientist for a 100% remote position. You will shape our customer analytics by building scalable data architectures, end-to-end ML/AI model deployment, and generative AI initiatives using Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Tableau/Looker.

The role blends data engineering and data science to deliver high-impact insights, improve marketing attribution, churn prediction, and post-sales use-cases while collaborating with GTM and Product teams.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field (CS/AI/Statistics) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for reporting and feature engineering.
• Experience building analytical datasets for business and data science use-cases.
• Experience with Big Data solutions for batch and real-time analytics.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with strong data engineering foundations.
• Experience with GCS, Vertex AI, and data visualization tools like Tableau/Looker.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures and datasets for analytics.
• Build and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Implement data security features for scalable cloud environments.
• Lead end-to-end ML/AI model deployment for key use-cases.
• Contribute to generative AI initiatives and evaluate AI agents.
• Collaborate with GTM, Global Customer Services and Product teams.
• Own the data science lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
