Job summary

PerfectServe is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to build a unified data platform for its healthcare product portfolio. You will own ingestion, modeling, and downstream surfaces, while shaping architecture and setting data standards.

This role requires deep SQL, cloud data warehouse expertise (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks), and dbt with an emphasis on ELT pipelines and CDC. You will mentor other data engineers, collaborate with architecture and operations teams, and help ensure data quality and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building cloud data platforms or architecting one from scratch.
• Deep SQL fluency and strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses.
• Hands-on with ELT, CDC, and data quality testing.
• Experience with healthcare data governance or PHI handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation design across ingestion, modeling, and data surfaces.
• Shape detailed architecture from high-level direction with the architecture team.
• Own integration design across varied production source systems.
• Build ingestion pipelines from diverse sources and model raw data into business datasets.
• Set engineering standards for data quality, testing, and governance.
• Collaborate with platform and operations teams for safe data extraction.
• Work directly with data consumers to ensure data answers key questions.
• Mentor data engineers and influence team practices.
