Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a senior security engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise detection content across our global environment. You will lead proactive threat hunting, drive investigations, and help mature cyber defense capabilities with automation and telemetry integrations.

The role requires hands-on expertise in SIEM, SOAR, XDR/EDR, and MITRE ATT&CK, plus a strong background in Python or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Minimum 8–12 years of related experience or 5–7 years with a PhD.
• Experience with security tooling and incident response is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise detection content across environments.
• Develop cyber defense capabilities, including telemetry integrations and SOAR workflows.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using threat intel and telemetry.
• Lead complex investigations, escalations, and risk mitigation efforts.
• Support red/purple team exercises and automate response with oversight.
• Build scripts and integrations to reduce manual effort and improve detection.
