Job summary

KIOXIA America, Inc. is seeking a Customer Qualification Engineer to support datacenter SSD products. You will plan and execute qualification tests, perform failure analysis, and report status to our engineering teams.

This role involves coordinating with Product Support Engineering and other stakeholders, with potential for job rotation. The position requires a BS in computer engineering or equivalent and 7+ years hands-on experience, plus strong scripting, OS, and debugging skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer engineering or equivalent field with 7+ years hands-on technical experience.
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with SSDs or related storage devices.
• Platform-level troubleshooting skills including run/break/fix and issue isolation.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Experience with Python/PowerShell/Bash scripting languages for both individual and cross-team use.
• Familiar with data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools).
• Experience withbug tracking tools and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

As a Customer Qualification Engineer, your primary role is to provide support for customer qualifications on our datacenter SSD products on behalf of our engineering and development teams. Primarily, this support is requested by Product Support Engineering team, with some requests coming directly from the customer. During the product qualification phase, you will provide support on test plan development and execution, failure analysis and status reporting. This includes ensuring all hardware and software components of the qualification are in place and ready for execution, reporting on execution and issue status, and participating in update meetings.

• Experience with OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD specifications and SSD test system usage
• Experience interacting with stakeholders of a product development organization

The expected salary for this position is $115,470.00 - $192,440.00.
