Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is hiring a CPU Physical Design CAD engineer in Austin, TX. You will build and support world-class implementation tools and flows to ensure leading power, performance and area for Qualcomm’s CPUs.

You will work with global hardware teams and EDA vendors to drive methodology and tool enhancements, optimizing PPA across advanced nodes. Strong Tcl/Python scripting and Cadence Innovus expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related work experience.
• Master's degree with 5+ years of related work experience.
• PhD with 4+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and release new features in our high-performance place-and-route CAD flow.
• Architect and recommend methodology improvements to optimize power, performance and area.
• Maintain, support and debug implementation flows and resolve project-specific issues.
• Collaborate with worldwide CPU physical design teams and provide flows support for class-leading PPA.
• Engage with EDA vendors to define roadmaps and resolve tool issues.

Education
