Job summary

Intel is seeking a Staff Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Engineer to drive CMP process development for cutting-edge logic technologies and to own cross-functional execution across Intel's foundry flow.

The role emphasizes leadership in process development, technology transfer, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering high-yield CMP solutions for production at scale. Hybrid work model is available in the US.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field is required.
• 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or process development.
• 3+ years directly in CMP process development with tuning & characterization.
• Experience with major CMP equipment platforms (AMAT, Ebara, etc.).
• Experience with CMP consumables (slurries, pads, conditioning disks, filters, clean chemistries).
• Previous semiconductor foundry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMP process development from concept through HVM implementation across multiple advanced technology nodes.
• Drive standardization and best practices across Intel's technology portfolio to maximize efficiency and yield.
• Own and resolve complex CMP-related yield and manufacturing issues using data-driven approaches.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization.
