Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Compute pillar to define the technical vision for GPU/CPU host lifecycle and compute control plane at massive scale.

You will lead engineers across teams, bridge hardware architecture with cloud provisioning, and ensure enterprise-grade SLAs while enabling secure, multi-tenant cloud services for AI researchers and enterprises.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with compute control plane distributed systems for deploying and lifecycle managing heterogeneous compute platforms.
• Deep expertise in durable execution models and distributed systems used in cloud-service provisioning.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, BIOS/firmware, and virtualization fundamentals informs secure, multi-tenant designs.
• Proven leadership in large-scale semiconductor hardware enablement and data-centers deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design a highly available GPU/CPU host and instance lifecycle control plane.
• Lead decisions on hardware architecture, BIOS/firmware, boot methodologies, and DPU utilization.
• Guide multi-tenant security model and cross-team design reviews.
• Provide technical mentorship and drive complex infra roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product and data-center teams to translate customer needs into scalable capabilities.
• Translate vague requirements into concrete engineering deliverables.
