Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Site Development Engineer in a hybrid role with relocation eligibility. The candidate will focus on civil site development, including grading, permitting, and storm water design, and interact with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

A PE license or active pursuit is required, along with at least five years of related experience. Responsibilities include design from concept through design completion, schedule and budget oversight, and supporting business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or in active pursuit of licensure.
• Thorough understanding of civil site development (i.e., Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm Water Management, Storm Water Design)
• Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform design of projects from conceptual and bid phase through design completion based on client needs.
• Assist Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
• Interface directly with the client or sub-consultants under the Engineering Manager.
• Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and client presentations.
• Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
