Job summary

EXP is seeking a Site Civil Project Engineer to join our national Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practice teams. Based in a major U.S.

city with hybrid work options, you will lead site civil/land development efforts, coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, and design drainage, grading and utility systems. You will prepare analyses and reports, manage multiple projects, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Civil Engineering (site civil/land development preferred).
• PE certification required (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Proficient in CAD via AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Proficient in stormwater modeling software such as HEC-HMS, ICPR, SWMM, or similar.
• Ability to travel for 1–2 day site inspection/meeting trips (one trip per month or less).
• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate with multi-discipline, remote project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering analysis, design, and calculations for site civil work (grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control).
• Coordinates with clients, agencies, and design leaders across time zones.
• Generates detailed reports demonstrating compliance with local guidelines.
• Uses drainage/water/sewer modeling tools in design.
• Contributes to construction document prep and design decisions.
• Supports project procurement and change orders as needed.
