Tectonic is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to work on solar, EV, and wireless telecommunications projects within our Irvine, CA Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


The essential functions of this position include working collaboratively on various types of civil, solar, and telecommunications projects with staff engineers and CAD designers as well as clients and third-party vendors to assist in the process of providing high quality deliverables to our clients. The Civil Engineer will work on the design, inspection, and coordination of all phases of civil/site development, including new site builds, site layouts, and site modifications and upgrades on wireless telecommunications cell site projects. Additional functions including generating required engineering reports for review, performing site visits to gather data and perform site inspections, reviewing drawings and calculations, site grading and drainage design, as well as all other duties as required. This position requires occasional overnight travel.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering; EIT is strongly preferred;

  • 0-5 years of experience, with interest in working on solar, civil, and wireless telecommunications projects;

  • SWPP experience preferred;

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2020 or newer; Civil 3D experience is a plus;

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues;

  • Must be detail oriented;

  • Requires a valid, clean driver's license and a personal vehicle, as travel to job sites as required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is often required to assume a stationary position, and regularly perform tasks that require the handling, inspection, and/or feeling of documents, materials, and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. Occasionally, the employee will need to move around on the job-site, sometimes while lifting and/or moving equipment up to 25 lbs and/or in hazardous weather conditions. The employee must be able to safely operate a motor-vehicle, in which they may be required to remain stationary for a prolonged period of time. They must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others using the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and conferencing systems. Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. PAY RANGE


Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitable across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.


Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 / year
