Pinterest is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Capacity Engineering to drive efficiency across large-scale, cloud-native infrastructure. You’ll own performance improvements in multi-tenant environments and optimize Kubernetes clusters.

You’ll collaborate with Infra and SRE teams, use AI tools to accelerate investigations, and help deliver highly available foundations. In-office collaboration is required 1-2 times per month across the US.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure capacity and performance, with strong fundamentals (CPU, memory, OS scheduling, I/O).
• Experience leading efficiency initiatives at scale on Kubernetes or large shared infrastructure.
• Strong performance engineering skills with profiling tools to root-cause problems and drive solutions.
• Experience building highly available distributed applications at scale.
• Excellent communication of complex technical issues.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in workflows.

• Drive efficiency in large-scale Kubernetes environments with scheduling optimization and multi-tenant isolation.
• Improve performance of large-scale distributed systems powering Pinterest.
• Use profiling and perf tools to root-cause issues, propose solutions, and validate with owning teams.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering and SRE to deliver highly available, secure and efficient foundations.
• Leverage AI to scale impact, including distilling logs/metrics and building self-serve insights.
