Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a relevant degree.
• Mastery of Java, Linux, and AWS.
• Experience designing clean, usable REST APIs and integrating with partner systems.
• Strong understanding of security and data privacy in engineering domains.
• DevOps/SRE experience maintaining production environments.
• Experience with Cassandra, MySQL, Kafka, and Python is a plus.
• Energy industry or climate tech experience is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Expand and scale Sense's cloud platform with a focus on reliability and high performance.
• Lead end-to-end ownership of backend features from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and engineering managers across disciplines.
• Work with embedded teams to integrate with various hardware platforms.
• Own production issues, metrics, and logs to drive improvements.
