Reddit is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to help advance safety and moderation across one of the world's largest sites. You will apply ML to improve automated detection and enforcement, partnering with product, data science, and operations to shape roadmaps and architecture.

You will lead a team of engineers, define standards, and drive end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment within the United States.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, Ruby).
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to execute on strategy.
• Contribute to full development cycle including design, code reviews, testing and deployment.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting standards and improving workflows.
• Drive technical and product strategy across systems and surfaces to impact Reddit at scale.
