Job summary

Unity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead Offer Delivery, the backend service that decides which offer a player sees and when. You will set the technical vision, define architecture, and collaborate with the auction, ML, platform, and product teams to deliver high-throughput, low-latency services at scale.

You will mentor engineers and drive best practices while owning backend solutions powering real-time bidding (OpenRTB) and direct offer placement.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with Go or ability to quickly become proficient in Go.
• Hands-on knowledge of real-time bidding, OpenRTB, and ad serving architectures.
• Proven track record building large-scale, low-latency distributed services.
• Experience with observability (logs, metrics, tracing) and data streaming.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and architecture for Offer Delivery and related initiatives.
• Develop and operate Go services powering real-time bidding and direct offer placement.
• Set engineering standards and foster technical excellence on the team.
• Collaborate with product, auction, ML, and platform teams across a distributed environment.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of production services.
