Job summary

EngagedMD is seeking a senior backend engineer to join our fully remote team in the United States. You will design, build, and scale backend services in TypeScript and Node.js, partnering with Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate goals into reliable systems.

You will mentor engineers, own complex domains end-to-end, and help define standards for observability, security, and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and production backend services.
• Strong system design skills for large-scale systems.
• Autonomous and decisive in ambiguous environments.
• Translate product goals into pragmatic engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript/Node.js.
• Lead system design for new and existing platforms with scalability and reliability.
• Own complex backend domains end-to-end from design to operation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, frontend, and Customer Success teams.
• Drive technical direction, observability, and performance standards.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and technical discussions.
