United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical direction and scale our backend platform. You will drive API design, authentication, and secure data integrations while mentoring an engineering team and delivering scalable backend services.

You will work with TypeScript/React/Node.js stacks and explore AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development, contributing to a rapidly growing security-focused ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience designing and evolving APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Strong knowledge of authentication (OAuth, API keys, JWT) and security best practices.
• Data ingestion and integration with external systems.
• Systems thinking at scale and reliability.
• Technical leadership and cross-team influence.
• Experience with AI tooling to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and direction for critical platform surface areas.
• Design and evolve APIs, primitives, and self-service paths for internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Own authentication, data-ingestion, and schema evolution primitives for secure, scalable integrations.
• Build secure, well-documented backend services and developer tooling (CI/CD).
• Drive performance, SDLC excellence, and buy-vs-build decisions.
• Mentor and uplift teammates and set team design patterns.
• Build with TypeScript, React, and Node.js; leverage AI to accelerate development.
