HeadHR is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to own the identity backend roadmap, design scalable systems, and deliver high-availability services for global users. You will collaborate with product, design and analytics to balance trade-offs, and define standards for robust software delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of backend experience, strong Python skills, and a proven track record with distributed systems on AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Extensive track record building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Ownership of operations, monitoring and on-call processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and drive year-long roadmap for Identity Back-end.
• Design, develop and launch backend systems at scale for international identity capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to manage technical trade-offs and risks.
• Define and advocate technical solutions, code review and design standards.
• Ensure operations readiness: monitoring, on-call rotations, playbooks, testing and alerting for availability.
• Integrate and evaluate third-party KYC vendors and align with global platform standards.
