BlackLine Systems, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help build the next generation of BlackLine and data platform in Pleasanton, CA.

You will design and develop connectors to ERP, bank, payments, tax, and subledger systems, focusing on scalable, secure backend components and data transfer across diverse protocols. You will lead and mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and deliver highly available multi-tenant services including API gateway, event bus, and data integration

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in building Web-scale, highly available multi-tenant SaaS backend platforms.
• Strong expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proven leadership as a technical lead for design, architecture, and code reviews.
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build connectors to ERP, bank, payments, tax, and subledger systems.
• Lead and mentor engineers; perform design reviews and peer reviews.
• Develop scalable backend services including API gateway, event bus, and job scheduling.
• Ensure security, performance, and maintainability.
