Job summary

BlackLine in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Sr.Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, maintain, optimize and scale its cloud-based backend services. You will collaborate across teams to build new features and deliver high quality releases for customers.

You will mentor junior developers, advocate for a quality-first culture, participate in on-call duties, and contribute to automated testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science with 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building Web Applications, SaaS, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and databases.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, and .NET ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver product features on time and to quality.
• Implement and enforce software development practices for performance and security.
• Maintain high standards of code quality with maintainable, testable, secure code.
• Mentor junior developers and evangelize a quality-first culture.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements with peers and leadership.
• Support deployments and on-call duties as needed.
