Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff-level Backend Engineer to design and ship the core context services powering an AI-native data intelligence system. You will build ingestion, indexing, retrieval APIs, and tenant-aware SaaS foundations while owning the architecture and delivering production-grade software.

You’ll collaborate with product and infrastructure, instrument services with metrics and dashboards, and operate in a remote, highly collaborative environment with global teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience building production-grade software systems.
• Strong engineering and self-starting capabilities.
• Experience with AI technologies and practical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship core backend services for context ingestion, indexing and retrieval APIs.
• Build a scalable multi-tenant SaaS foundation with isolation and observability.
• Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces, and alerting; ensure reliability and scalable deployment.
