Job summary

Ironclad in San Francisco seeks a Staff Systems Engineer, Automations & Integrations, to lead enterprise automations, AI-assisted workflows, and governed data integrations across Ironclad’s technology stack. You will work with Biz Tech and partner teams to build scalable, observable automation frameworks that improve employee and customer experiences.

Qualifications

5+ years in automation, integration, or data engineering roles delivering complex systems.
Expertise with Workato as a primary automation platform, including API integrations and error handling.
Hands-on experience with Glean (or similar AI knowledge platforms) and AI-powered workflows.
Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, Okta/identity, and related data flows.
Strong architectural and automation design skills; reusable components and reference patterns.
Proficient in SQL/T-SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or Ruby).
Experience operationalizing automation workflows with governance and lifecycle management.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business problems into technical designs.
Comfort leading by influence and mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

Design and build robust automations and integrations across Ironclad’s systems, prioritizing reliability and observability.
Lead cross-functional integration projects end-to-end—from requirements to deployment and hyper-care.
Operationalize AI-powered workflows by integrating Glean and other AI tools in a governed manner.
Establish standards for automation design, testing, monitoring, security, and documentation; promote reuse.
Implement strong error handling and alerting with clear runbooks and remediation patterns.
Champion engineering best practices in Workato and related stacks; promote configuration-as-code where appropriate.
Partner with stakeholders and executives to translate business problems into technical roadmaps.
Mentor engineers and analysts; share knowledge through reviews, pair programming, and enablement sessions.
