Job summary

Ironclad, the leading AI contracting platform, is hiring a Staff Systems Engineer, Automations & Integrations in San Francisco. You will design enterprise automations, AI-powered workflows, and governed data integrations across Ironclad’s tech landscape, partnering with Biz Tech and GTM/EPD/G&A teams to build reusable patterns and robust error handling.

This individual-contributor role offers mentorship, technical direction for high-impact automation initiatives, and a market-competitive base

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automation, integration, or data engineering with complex systems.
• Expertise with Workato as primary automation platform; certification a plus.
• Hands-on with Glean or similar AI knowledge platforms.
• Familiar with Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, and identity systems.
• Strong architectural and automation design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust automations and integrations across business systems with emphasis on reliability and observability.
• Lead cross-functional integration projects end-to-end for GTM, EPD, and G&A stakeholders.
• Operationalize AI-powered workflows by integrating Glean and other AI tools.
• Establish and evolve standards for automation design, testing, monitoring, and security.
• Implement best-in-class error handling and alerting with runbooks and remediation patterns.
• Model and champion engineering practices in Workato and related stacks; use version control and CI/CD.
• Partner with stakeholders and executives to translate business problems into technical roadmaps.
• Mentor peers and uplevel automation engineers through reviews and enablement sessions.
• Continuously explore innovation in automation patterns and AI agentic capabilities.
