Staff Attorney - Product Liability - New York City
Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking aStaff Attorneywith product liability litigation expertise to join its ourNew York office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on high-volume product liability matters, preferably asbestos and/or pharmaceutical related, including experience taking depositions, drafting pleadings and motions, and working directly with clients and opposing counsel.
Staff Attorneys have an exciting opportunity to learn from and work closely with energetic, high experienced practitioners in a friendly, cooperative environment.

Competencies:
Required Education:Juris Doctor
Required Licenses and/or Certifications:Licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of New York; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements
Preferred Experience:5+ years’ experience as a licensed attorney working on high volume matters, ideally related to asbestos and pharmaceutical litigation. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and be comfortable working directly with clients and opposing counsel. Prior experience working at a law firm is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Indirect - actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction
Physical Activity:The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer
Travel Required:Less than 10%

Salary Range:Ranges are fluid depending on experience, areas of expertise, licenses, etc.
New York Range: $130-225k/yr.
