Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar and eligibility for circuit and SDNY admission
• Minimum of two years of federal or comparable litigation experience
• Commitment to representing marginalized communities
• Excellent writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently and on an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct litigation before federal district courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits
• Assist with class actions and other affirmative litigation for non-citizen New Yorkers
• Provide individualized consultation to staff attorneys
• Develop staff skills on federal litigation through trainings
• Work with pro bono counsel
• Create resource materials and trainings on federal court issues
• Maintain and update case files and management databases
• Carry out other duties as assigned
