Job summary
Sony is seeking a Staff Attorney, AI Governance, to join the AI Governance Office, the hub for developing and operationalizing governance policies across Sony Group. You will work with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and business teams to identify and mitigate legal and ethical AI risks and to help shape global baselines and governance frameworks for responsible innovation.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of legal experience.
- Experience advising on technology-related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Support development and maintenance of Sony’s AI governance framework and risk management processes.
- Conduct legal and regulatory analysis relating to AI, including IP, privacy, consumer protection, and risk.
- Review AI use cases to identify governance and ethical risks.
- Prepare memos, policies, guidance documents, and stakeholder communications.
- Monitor global legal developments affecting AI and translate requirements into business guidance.
- Support governance forums, workshops, and executive briefings.
