Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience in WA state and federal courts.
• Active Washington bar admission in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of WA civil procedure, local court rules, and federal practice.
• Experience with case management, motion practice, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.
• Experience handling commercial litigation matters.
• Experience with consumer disputes, premises liability, and/or personal injury defense preferred.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• JD from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement materials, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused legal analysis.
• Handle local court proceedings, including depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and related appearances as needed.
• Manage state and federal court filings, including electronic filing and service requirements.
• Assist with pro hac vice admissions and sponsorship of out-of-state counsel.
• Support witness preparation, case investigations, document collection, and discovery efforts.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and case management.
• Monitor court rules, deadlines, and developments to ensure matters move forward effectively and efficiently.

Litigation Attorney

LHH is assisting a leading law firm in its search for a Litigation Attorney to support its commercial litigation practice focused on matters throughout Washington state.

This attorney will work closely with a sophisticated litigation team handling a diverse portfolio that includes consumer-related disputes, personal injury and premises liability matters, and complex commercial litigation.

In this role, you will serve as a key member of the litigation team, partnering with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to develop case strategy, manage active matters, and drive efficient resolutions. The position offers significant responsibility and exposure to litigation matters in both Washington state and federal courts.

What You’ll Do
