Job summary

LHH is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal for its Seattle office to manage civil litigation matters from inception through settlement or trial. Ideal candidates have recent experience, with medical malpractice exposure highly preferred, and are comfortable with a 1,400 billable-hour annual requirement.

Responsibilities include preparing document sets, coordinating with clients and court personnel, and supporting discovery and trial prep.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably including medical malpractice
  • Strong knowledge of Washington State and local court rules
  • Understanding of the full discovery process
  • Trial preparation experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently or with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
  • HIPAA guidelines awareness preferred
  • Experience with billing time
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills

  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, experts, and other professionals
  • Draft authorizations, stipulations, correspondence, memoranda, discovery, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Manage case deadlines and support efficient case development
  • Review, organize, and summarize large volumes of medical records
  • Conduct research on medical issues, jury verdicts, and expert witnesses
  • Oversee the discovery process and maintain case status updates
  • Assist with trial preparation and deposition preparation
  • Perform additional tasks to support litigation teams

Job description

LHH is working with a well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its Seattle office. Ideal candidates will have recent experience managing civil litigation matters from case inception through settlement or trial. Experience with medical malpractice cases is highly preferred. This role includes an annual 1,400 billable-hour requirement and offers a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed chronologies of medical records
