BECU is seeking a Staff Architect to shape scalable, secure technology solutions that align with our strategic direction and regulatory expectations. You will lead architecture across cloud, infrastructure, and applications, mentoring teams and driving governance at scale.

You’ll apply modern tools like GitHub Copilot and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver lasting value for our members and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and security/risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of comprehensive solution architectures aligned with strategic objectives.
• Govern and evolve the application portfolio and assess tech decisions.
• Participate in architecture governance, reviews, and design gates.
• Provide architectural expertise across cloud, infrastructure, networking, software.
• Develop and review architecture designs and guide teams through decisions.
• Embed security and compliance in architecture decisions.
• Apply AI tools to improve productivity while using them responsibly.
• Identify long-term business value by analyzing trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate supplier technologies.
