Polymarket is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to build a world-class trading app on Android. You will shape the Android platform, set technical direction, and raise the bar across the codebase for scale.

In this high-ownership role, you’ll own architecture, drive real-time features, and work across a distributed team. Experience at staff level and strong Kotlin/Jetpack Compose skills are essential to deliver at speed.

Qualifications

• Significant Android engineering experience at scale with platform ownership.
• Strong Kotlin expertise with architectural decision-making.
• Proven experience building production UI with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and Gradle end-to-end.
• Familiarity with AI tools in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for Android and own architectural decisions.
• Build and own Android features across payments, data, and core UI.
• Implement polished interfaces with Jetpack Compose for real trading.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and Gradle configuration as the team scales.
• Integrate WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming data for live markets.
• Lead a distributed team, raise engineering standards.
• Incorporate AI tools to move faster and sustain output.
• Identify gaps in Android architecture before scale problems.
