Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a senior Android leader to set the technical direction for Android at scale. You will own architectural decisions, build and maintain features across payments, real-time data, and core UI, and deliver end-to-end from design handoff to production.

You will champion Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and CI/CD pipelines, mentor a distributed team, raise engineering standards, and explore AI tools to optimize development and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record owning Android platforms at scale.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin.
• Experience building production UIs with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and Gradle builds end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence practices.
• Active use of AI tools in the development workflow.
• Experience integrating payments on Android (plus).
• Experience with WebSockets or gRPC for real-time data (plus).
• Familiarity with cross-platform shared-code architectures (plus).
• iOS or Swift experience (plus).
• Background at a larger, more mature engineering organization (plus).

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for Android at Polymarket and own architectural decisions
• Build and own Android features spanning payments flows, real-time market data, and core UI
• Deliver features from design handoff through production
• Implement polished, performant Jetpack Compose interfaces
• Own CI/CD pipelines and Gradle configuration
• Build and maintain WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming-data integrations
• Provide technical leadership across a distributed team
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews and best practices
• Incorporate AI tools into the development workflow
• Identify and address Android architecture and engineering-practice gaps before they become scale problems
