Job summary

Grow Therapy is hiring a founding Android engineer to own Android from day one. You’ll shape architecture, tooling, and the first production release, collaborating with iOS and backend teams, product and design, and leadership.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence at one of its hubs and offers a comprehensive benefits package and significant impact on patient care through mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in native Android development with Kotlin.
• Led the technical direction for an Android app from an early or 0-to-1 stage, or through a major re-architecture.
• Deep knowledge of modern Android: Jetpack Compose, Kotlin coroutines/Flow, DI, modularization, and testing strategy.
• Strong product instincts and ability to partner with product and design.
• Experience using AI development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of development.

Responsibilities

• Design the architecture and technical foundations for Grow's native Android app from project structure to release infrastructure.
• Ship consumer-facing features on that foundation to help clients discover care and manage their care journey.
• Set coding standards, tooling, and engineering practices for Android as the team grows.
• Own the path to production: CI/CD, Play Console release management, observability, and security practices for a healthcare app.
• Collaborate with product, design, iOS and backend teams to align technical decisions with product goals.
• Drive cross-functional decisions and represent Android roadmap to stakeholders.
